Fall Property Highlights

2019 has been a pivotal year for PREIT. From anchor replacements to re-imagining a full property 16 years in the making, we at PREIT have been busy diversifying our tenant roster to offer customers a unique experience across our properties.

Over the last couple of months, our team completed three major redevelopment and re-merchandising projects that are redefining our shopper experience.

Fashion District Philadelphia
Philadelphia, PA

Spanning three city blocks and approximately 900,000 square feet of space, Fashion District Philadelphia (The District) features a robust lineup of dynamic tenants that serve the evolving consumer in a metropolitan setting. Curated around four brand pillars – Style, Dining, Entertainment, and Arts & Culture – The center is attractive to residents, commuters and visitors of Philadelphia.

The District offers a unique retailer mix with such brands as AlX Armani Exchange, American Eagle, Burlington, Century 21, H&M, Ulta.

The dining and entertainment options offer something for everyone from Market Eats’ modern grab-n-go food market including Chick-fil-A, Chickie’s and Pete’s, Oath Pizza, among others to City Winery, which offers sit-down dining and wines produced in the city, along with a live music venue. Candytopia offers fun for the whole family with works of art made out of candy, and our favorite, the marshmallow pit.

There is still so much more to open later this year, including AMC Theaters, Round 1, and interactive art exhibit, Wonderspaces.

The District is conveniently connected to Reading Terminal Market, the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and three transit hubs, including Jefferson Station, and just steps away from the city’s historic district.

Plymouth Meeting Mall
Plymouth Meeting, PA

Plymouth Meeting Mall welcomed over 200,000 square feet of new retail, dining and experiential concepts in 2019 including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Burlington, Miller’s Ale House, and soon to open Edge Fitness. These tenants join a roster of experiential offerings for all ages including LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Dave & Buster’s, and an updated AMC Movie Theatre.

Today, nearly half of the property’s space is dedicated to dining and entertainment, underscoring PREIT’s early adoption of these experiential offerings to reimagine the retail experience.

With a daytime population of 1 million, Plymouth Meeting Mall is located in a well-situated, high-trafficked region at the intersection of four of Philadelphia’s major roadways. Over 92 million vehicles pass the mall per year, representing a significant opportunity to attract visitors from the surrounding region.

Woodland Mall
Grand Rapids, MI

In the last two years, Woodland Mall has opened 17 new tenants, remodeled 8 existing stores, and added a new play area.

This fall, first-to-portfolio retailer, Von Maur, opened in 90,000 square feet, marking the department store’s first in the region. Von Maur is joined by Urban Outfitters, Williams Sonoma, and Black Rock Bar & Grill. The addition of these sought after retailers complement the existing high-quality roster of tenants at Woodland Mall – including Apple, Lush, Altar’d State, A’Beautiful Soul, and Pottery Barn among others – and meet the retail demand of the strong shopper demographics of the region. The opening of Von Maur and PREIT’s strategic investment in the redevelopment will continue to attract new and dynamic merchants to diversify the tenant roster and drive traffic and sales to the property.
