Patrick Henry Mall is the dominant retail destination on the Hampton
Roads Peninsula and the only enclosed regional mall between
Richmond and Norfolk, Virginia. The center is located along the corridor
of Jefferson Avenue, which is the most heavily traveled retail road on
the peninsula with direct access from I-64. The center's diverse market
is a result of the large military presence with fourteen installations in the
Hampton Roads area. In 2006, the center underwent an extensive
$30 million renovation and expansion which included the addition of
Dick's Sporting Goods, Borders Books & Music, Red Robin Restaurant,
and Bailey's Pub & Grille, giving the center a stronger focus on dining
and entertainment. Recent additions include Chipotle, Buckle, and the
only Zumiez in Hampton Roads.
