PREIT Properties Celebrated Black Business Month

In the month of August, PREIT properties partnered with local businesses and tenants like Curate Noir to host showcases and expos featuring Black-owned businesses.

Many of our properties hosted showcases that brought Black-owned vendors into the mall, introducing our shoppers to new products and small locally-owned businesses. Cherry Hill Mall and Moorestown Mall partnered with Curate Noir, a marketplace located in Moorestown Mall dedicated to products created by Black and Brown-owned businesses. The vendors gained exposure to new customers and had the opportunity to network with other Black-owned businesses. Our showcases featured various vendors with apparel, art, natural skincare, sweet treats, home décor, candles, and more!

On social media, our properties highlighted their Black-owned tenants with weekly spotlights and posts throughout the month. Jacksonville Mall hosted a giveaway on Instagram with three winners, each receiving $20 to Glo Mania Lazer Tag. This increased presence on our social media platforms was met with excitement from our followers, who can support our Black-owned businesses year-round!

Black-Owned Business Month may be over, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to stop supporting Black-owned businesses. We’re thankful to the Black-owned businesses at our properties for their contributions to enhancing the shopping experience through diverse offerings and the inspiration they provide our communities.
