South Mall is an a-typical community center featuring a successful cross between an enclosed mall and a power center combining national retail selection with the regional draw of big box retailers.

South Mall became a part of the longstanding "antique circuit" in the Lehigh Valley in November 2009 with the addition of Black Rose Antiques & Collectibles. The mall's collection of more than 90 antique dealers is the largest in more than 90 miles. An additional 80 dealers are will be added in Spring 2010.

Stein Mart is a considerable draw to the center due to its closest location more than 1 ½ hours from South Mall. Shopping trips on various tourist bus lines stop at the mall from Massachusetts and other points north.

There are four colleges and universities within a 10 minute drive of the center enrolling more than 7,700 students.

Over 11,680 students attend four regional high schools and four middle schools located within five miles of the mall.

Positioned at the center of the "Lehigh Street Auto Mile", the largest and most concentrated selection of car dealerships within Lehigh Valley.
