Assistant Marketing Director

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the marketing director in creating a strategic marketing plan and operating budget that addresses shopping center issues and opportunities, resulting in marketing programs that enhance merchant, community, and media relations, and increase shopping center sales.
  • Perform the day-to-day administrative functions for the marketing department including budgeting, financial tracking, processing invoices and sales reporting. Assist with preparations of all marketing reports. Also measure publicity and traffic results.
  • Coordinate shopping center visual merchandising and signage programs.
  • Manage the center's Shoppers' Club & Giggle Gang kids club, coordinate Holiday Dˇcor installation, Santa/Easter Events and Photo Operations, community events and sponsorship/partnership marketing initiatives
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Customer Service Supervisor to grow the Gift Card business including reconciliation, inventory, merchant training and acceptance and B2B corporate sales.
  • Work closely with mall merchants to garner their participation in marketing programs including monitoring of mall standards and building positive relationships.
  • Maintain and update Website, merchant and customer newsletters, inner-department communication, mall directories, and barricade graphics.
  • Help the marketing director to oversee print and broadcast production for the center. Create and submit Portfolio job starts and follow up with production deadlines.
  • Work closely with General Manager in implementing and maintaining PREIT CORE standards within the center.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Director and General Manager in developing strong community alliances.
  • Work closely with the marketing director, center staff and corporate development department on the planned re-development of the property.
  • Training position directly supervised by marketing director.
  • Perform additional duties as may be required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS Marketing, Business Administration or related field of study.
  • Experience in marketing, advertising, special events and/or retail preferred.
  • Knowledge of customer service and/or gift cards a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization, analytical and leadership skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
