Regional Specialty Leasing Director
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the productivity, occupancy performance and presentation of specialty leasing for an assigned
group of centers and specialty leasing point people in specialty leasing activities
- Lead, train, coach and mentor assigned Specialty Leasing Representatives and mall personnel in their assigned groups
- Oversee assigned group's productivity, strategy and specialty leasing efforts to ensure that income budgets and goals
are met on a center-by-center basis
- Oversee and monitor monthly and year to date progress, trouble shoot, identify problems, and work to develop solutions
with VP, Specialty Leasing
- Generate new leads and concepts for assigned centers and groups, negotiate and close deals, as well as maintain any assigned accounts
- Keep abreast of competitive Specialty Leasing trends industry/region and areas of assigned centers. Cleary communicate all
deals and leasing activities with each assigned center's General Manager
- Review and approve licensing agreements and assist the GM in the Specialty Leasing activities within a defined region according
to guidelines set forth by the VP, Specialty Leasing
- Oversee all merchandise purchase with GM and suppliers.
- Works with shopping center managers to ensure "additional income" budget is met by year's end and sets annual rates
- Coordinates activities with retail leasing representatives vis-a-vis potential tenants
- Assist in determining locations of the Specialty Merchants, taking into account the product lines and restrictions of
permanent merchants
- Performs duties normally associated with supervisory position such as hiring, providing training sessions, and meetings,
reviewing work and conducting salary and performance reviews.
- Coordinate with Specialty leasing Representatives and center manager to determine annual performance goals through
performance evaluation. Goals will be used for performance evaluations and salary adjustments.
- In addition to above, is also responsible for all duties and responsibilities defined for position of Specialty
Leasing Representative.
Candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of marketing and merchandising with strong selling skills. Requires
4 yr min. shopping center or retail experience and 2 years management experience, PC proficiency (Windows environment), & excellent
communication/people skills.
